The Muskegon Environmental Research & Education Society (MERES) is embarking on a fundraising campaign to expand the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve by purchasing the property that is currently being used as the preserve parking lot. The owner of the property has been kind enough to allow MERES to utilize the property up to this point, but by purchasing the property it will allow MERES to realize the ultimate goal of building an education center on-site. We could not have seen the growth in the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve without the numerous hours volunteers have given to the Preserve.
